The CrowdGuard workshop programme increases women’s safety-perception, stops victim blaming and leads to safer group behaviors. Gender-specific training modules raise women’s self-assertiveness and help men to reflect harmful practices and provide them with constructive role-models.
We support organisations and workplaces in the implementation of Code of Conduct policies against discrimination and harassment, and it’s enforcement through process and policy support. Accountable communities provide everyone with safer and more productive spaces.
With the CrowdGuard app we address some of the remaining bystander barriers. It empowers you to help people in your immediate geographical proximity. If you are being assaulted you can raise the alarm and receive help from the trusted CrowdGuard helper community.
We focus on the root causes of the problem and constantly iterate our solutions based on data and insights from the field. Read how we monitor and evaluate our activities and conduct our user-driven development to make the environment safer community by community.
Gender equality is more than a goal in itself. It is a precondition for meeting the challenge of reducing poverty, promoting sustainable development and building good governance.
I have realized that fighting for women’s rights has too often become synonymous with man-hating. If there is one thing I know for certain, it is that this has to stop
Most men fear getting laughed at or humiliated by a romantic prospect while most women fear rape and death
No woman has to be a victim of physical abuse. Women have to feel like they are not alone.
Everything not saved will be lost
To call woman the weaker sex is a libel; it is man's injustice to woman. If by strength is meant brute strength, then, indeed, is woman less brute than man. If by strength is meant moral power, then woman is immeasurably man's superior. Has she not greater intuition, is she not more self-sacrificing, has she not greater powers of endurance, has she not greater courage? Without her, man could not be. If nonviolence is the law of our being, the future is with woman. Who can make a more effective appeal to the heart than woman?
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.
